I recently came across this post from the blog of Mark Andreessen, founder of Netscape and an Obama supporter. It’s a description of an early meeting with Obama, in which he recites an argument that Barack hasn’t used enough, in my estimation, during the primary campaign.
Before I close, let me share (what) he said at the time -- early 2007 -- on the topic of whether he's ready.Looking back at the campaign so far, it is clear that this one line completely obliterates not only Hillary’s entire “ready on day one” argument, but also her current “coup by superdelegate” strategy!
We asked him directly, how concerned should we be that you haven't had meaningful experience as an executive -- as a manager and leader of people?
He said, watch how I run my campaign -- you'll see my leadership skills in action.
I really like that he's a post baby boomer. He's got my vote.
