With all the bad news for Bush and the Republicans today - my question is - did the GOP throw Congressman Mark Foley under the bus to distract from Woodward's book and the Abramoff revelations.
Scandal's about sex will always lead. But if this was the best they could do they are only tossing a crew member from a sinking ship. It is however, right in character for them to start with the homosexuals.
Look out Ken Melman!
Nah, Foley threw himself under the bus. He thought he saw a teenage boy under there...
ReplyDeleteNone of this stuff will have any effect on Bush and the neofas, er, neoconservatives, unless and until the Dems control the House and/or Senate. Until then, they can lie, spin, obfuscate, and if necessary, THROW ANYONE THEY WANT INTO A SECRET JAIL AND TORTURE THEM FOREVER, or just continue to ignore whatever criticism is heaped upon them. They really don't care, after all. They think that in 2 years they're going to ride off into the Texas sunset with their saddlebags full of no-bid contract kickbacks, settle down by the ol' pond with their BB gund and shoot frogs 'til the Rapture. Of course, if there really IS a God, they'll be impeached and extradited to the Hague to stand trial for war crimes. Until then, I remain an Agnostic.
Aaach! BB GUNS, not BB gund. When will I learn to check for typos?
ReplyDeleteO.K., this is 20-20 hindsight, but it's pretty clear now that l'affair de Foley is definitely not some kind of Rovian diversionary ploy. The Republican House Leadership is swirling slowly towards the bottom of the toilet bowl over this. It's so good that I don't think even our illustrious Democratic Congresspersons can screw it up!
